League Headlines:
 

The final weekend proved to be significant in deciding runner-up
positions in several leagues.


Key facts across all Divisions within the league:
 

·  The only sides that remain unbeaten were Sutton 3rds ( Champions of Div 2) and Stratford 2nds (Runners-up of Div 3)!

 

·  Highest Goal Scoring team is Leamington 3rds (Champions of Div 4) with 105 goals

 

·  The side with the best defence performance was Warwick 1sts (Champions of Div 1) conceding only 6 goals

 

·  In a season where the number of goals in the league rose by 17% over last season, Sutton 3rds (Div 2) had the highest goal difference of 84 goals

 

·  Highest goal scorer in the league was Lucy Aldridge (Atherstone 1sts) with 38 goals

 

·  In a season when most teams finished in similar positions in the league compared with last year, the exceptions were Leamington 2nds(+4), Warwick 3rds(+4), Stratford 3rds(+4) and Warwick 4ths (+7)

Divisional Headlines

DIVISION ONE HEADLINES

  • Warwick Ladies 1sts (Champions of Div 1) are promoted to the Midlands feeder league after overhauling the long-standing league leaders Stratford 1sts, when defeating them 3 weeks from the end of the season
  • Top goal scorers were Nicki Siarbawa(Nuneaton) on 26 goals one ahead of Kirstin Bryce(Warwick) and Kate Edmunds(Coventry & N.Warks)
  • Hampton 2nds and Shipton 1sts return to Division 2 after both were promoted last season


DIVISION TWO HEADLINES

  • Sutton Ladies 3rds were worthy champions of Div 2, with a lead over runners-up Leamington 2nds of 14 points.
  • Leamington 2nds just headed last year’s Div 1 relegated teams, Olton 3rds and Nuneaton 1sts, by a solitary point.
  • Top goal scorers on 25 goals were Anna Evans(Nuneaton) and Nicki Hansford(Sutton)
  • Berkswell return to Div 3 (after being promoted last year) along with Warwick University 2nds


DIVISION THREE HEADLINES

  • Sutton Ladies 4ths comfortably became Champions of Div 3 with a gap of 5 points over Stratford 2nds
  • Both teams are returning to Div 2 after being relegated last year
  • Top goal scorer on 20 goals is Charlotte Middleton(Sutton)
  • Long Buckby 2nds and Olton 5ths drop down into Div 4

 

DIVISION FOUR HEADLINES

  • Leamington Ladies 3rds were clear Champions of Div 4, 12 points ahead of Atherstone 1sts
  • Atherstone secured the 2nd place on goals scored over Birmingham Wasps 1sts and Sutton 5ths, who both drew in the last games of the season
  • Top goal scorer and leading League Scorer on 38 goals is Lucy Aldridge(Atherstone) ahead of Kendall Sands(Leamington) on 32 goals

The AGM passed new rules for the coming season 2011/12.
